HERE'S AN EXAMPLE:
Seaside Elementary School always gets a hand written certificate from The Crab Shack for a FREE DINNER FOR TWO to auction at their fund raiser. But now Seaside Elementary has begun to use Giftberry.com. So what does Seaside do? They ask The Crab Shack to sign up with Giftberry.com. The Crab Shack chooses Seaside Elementary as their Sponsored Non Profit when they do.
Seaside then downloads the Crab Shack DINNER FOR TWO certificate from Giftberry, and they get 1 point. Later other schools and churches in the area also download the Crab Shack DINNER FOR TWO gift - and every time they do, Seaside gets another point. Pretty soon Seaside has a table full of valuable gifts to auction online or at their next fund raiser.
WORK THE SYSTEM
If one business signs up to Sponsor you at Giftberry it might take months to accumulate 500 points and get an iPod for your event. But what if you signed up ten business Sponsors? Or twenty? Every time any Non Profit in the system downloads a gift from a Business sponsoring you, you get a point. Remember, the more Non Profit organizations there are in the system downloading those gifts, the faster your points pile up - so sign up your church, your PTA, and tell your friends to sign up their softball leagues and youth clubs!
HOW DO I SIGN UP A DONATING BUSINESS?
Most of us have relationships with companies who have been supporting our cause for many years. It's these businesses who can help. Just ask them to go to www.giftberry.com and sign up for a BUSINESS ACCOUNT. Tell them to select the name of YOUR ORGANIZATION in the dropdown menu to Sponsor a Non Profit. Or have them go to your profile page and donate an item to your event. Anytime a new business donates an item to a charity, that charity automatically gets sponsored. Remember, donating Companies on Giftberry make an average of 75 donations a year . Your points pile up fast at that rate. So go spread the word!
OTHER WAYS TO GET POINTS AND PRIZES
Your individual donors win points every time they donate online, buy tickets, pay for auction items or process any tax deductable transaction on Giftberry.com. Every $10 they donate earns them 1 point.
