How does the Giftberry Foundation make money while offering everything for free?
The Giftberry Foundation is able to supply free services and 0% credit card (mc/visa) through the generous support of corporate sponsorships, private donors, and grants. Operating as a 501.c.3 non-profit, giftberry is commited to making the process of fund-raising as convenient, simple, and economical as possible.

What makes Giftberry unique?
Giftberry is a non-profit that provides free web-based services for charities and schools to automate and manage fund-raising tasks. We do not exist to make money, we exist to save organizations money.

Can we see our transactions?
All records of all transactions are available in real-time on giftberry.org. You see exactly what is happening, as it happens, including your proceeds and approx. release date of funds.

Can Giftberry be linked to our site?
Contact your organization's webmaster to have your Giftberry url linked to your organization's website.

Do you give out donor info?
Your donor community is secure with us. Donor information is not shared or sold with other charities or businesses unless required by the IRS.

How long does it take to get started?
Once your account has been approved (within 48 hours), you have complete access to our tools and may start using them immediately.

Can our organization's fund-raising events be shared through facebook?

Yes, our online auction and Team Pledge Drive tools can be interfaced with Facebook.

How long does it take to receive our proceeds?
Each organization may choose how they would like to receive their proceeds directly from their organization's account.

1.Our free industry standard payout method for all transactions is a minimum 45 days on a bi-weekly payment schedule (after close). As per credit card restrictions, any delay is due to 30 day cycle for payment challenges and account time outs, and for account reconciling and processing.

2. If you would prefer a 7-day or a Same Day forwarding of funds (after close), giftberry provides this expedited service to members, with a additional Transfer Fee, as ordered, from your Giftberry Account. You also have the option to automate 7-day payments for a small fee of $25 per week, which means that your payments will go out weekly, without having to remember to order a fund transfer.

Charity Members are responsible for any charge backs, returned items, return fees, dishonored cards, transaction penalties, etc. imposed by financial institutions associated with online transactions, and/or giftberry.org. giftberry may, at it's discretion, impose a minimum $15-50 (without limit) processing fee on all items challenged, returned, or suspended for any reason by any financial institution, merchant, charity, individual, or association of any kind.

How do I process credit card payments?

The fastest way to run credit card transactions is to use a usb port credit card reader. We do not supply these, so if your organization doesn't have one, you will need to purchase one or more before the day of your event. The attached screenshot is a sample of what one looks like. Please note: card readers must have keyboard emulation to work properly. If you use Windows 7, please confirm that it is compatible before purchasing.

If you do not have access to a reader, credit card information may also be entered manually.
