The Giftberry Gift?

Having children changes everything!

As the founders entered adulthood and began to experience and participate in fundraising events in their community churches and schools, it became painfully obvious that every single charity was expending an unbelievable amount of time (an average total of 5.5 hours per donation received) looking for, and processing donations. In addition, most charities were also spending money (about $3.50 per gift request) to bring the donations in.

Not to mention the poor Company trying to give out the gift, which often cost as much as the gift itself (a $50 gift had an average Total Fulfillment Cost of $52.45 in the entertainment industry in 2005*).
*Nationwide, the average cost for a business to give a gift away is $28 (including labor, expenses, fees, etc.)

We had an idea! To help Charities receive, and Companies give donations online. We figured it would help the Charity, since they could avoid the yearly training of new recruits for their fundraising event. The ongoing procurement productivity would increase ten-fold while cold calls, paperwork, and correspondence involved in skyrocketing costs could be greatly reduced.

We figured it would help the Company giving donations to fundraising events, since they would streamline their donation fulfillment to an online, automated process, and enjoy the process once again.

We figured everyone would save time, money and energy, and get back to concentrating on Charity goals, and making the process fun, instead of non-stop busy-work.

We figured right!

The next question was how to make it work. After three years of struggling to find a good solution for the Giftberry idea, a breakthrough occurred. By 2003, programming had advanced to the point of allowing us to incorporate new advanced technology into our online system. The donations to the Charities could now be accomplished in a superior fashion, and our team got to the task of putting the Giftberry project together.

Giftberry was now going to offer ALL Charities, Companies and INDIVIDUALS a wonderful alternative to the expensive and labor intensive proposition of Giving.
